Wax on, wax off......sand the floor....paint the fence
I'm wiped out. Yesterday I felt like Daniel-san from the Karate Kid. I sanded the walls in the garage to prepare them for painting. I was a dusty and tired mess. Then I thought I had time to clean the wood pile in the back of the house. What a job that was. Years of neglect left it full of leaves, pine needles and all kinds of interesting thing. Then I got to the bottom of the pile and found plenty of moldy and decaying wood. It was a former Biology teachers dream, but I was too tired to enjoy it. I wrapped up the project at sundown, around 9:30, and finished the last 15 minutes this morning at 6:00 after my run. 5 leaf bags full of junk and I've got a nice clean woodpile.

L5 Youth Ranch
The family and I enjoyed going to the open house at the L5 Youth Ranch today. What a great place. They minister to youth and take care of horses that need some love too. Check out their site and contact them for a visit sometime.

Sweet Victory!!!!!!
What a great way to start my vacation!The Cup is once again where it belongs.....in Hockeytown! Starting my fascination with hockey back in 1981, I have seen the Wings go from basement dwellers (which they were for years and year) to one of the strongest franchises in all of hockey. 4 cup wins in 11 years means that they are the best team over the past decade. Tonight's win just sealed the fact that all is well and the Red Wings have the Cup once again. I think it was the hot wings and Little Caesars pizza that Matt, Jason and I had while watching the game. The Wings were hot and the Illitch family not only made money off the pizza we bought, but from all the souvenirs I'll buy now that the Wings are the champs.
